About Bear's RV

We are located at 10240 Sepulveda Blvd in beautiful Mission Hills, California. Bear's RV is a very unique RV dealer for many reasons. Bear's RV is one of the few RV dealers who has upholstery, fabrication, hitch, cabinetry, appliance, generator, detail and chassis repair departments all in-house. In addition, we have the ability to manufacture custom parts and RV support equipment that may not be readily available elsewhere. Our service staff is comprised of RV enthusiasts who on average have 25 years of RV repair experience.

Bear's RV's sales professionals are hand picked by Bill Blatter, president of Bear's RV. They first must pass a background check which primarily focuses on their past business ethics. Once they have been deemed solid individuals, they are then considered for their customer service skills and enthusiasm for the RV lifestyle. Bear's sales people are constantly enrolled in continuing education programs to keep up with changing RV technologies and new model features.

Bear's RV only sells new RVs from proven manufacturers with solid financials. This is important because if a manufacturer should fail, their warranty becomes invalid.  In addition to our new units, our used units are put through an extensive check list when they are delivered to us and before they go home with their new owners.

About our Founder

Bill Blatter, President of Bear's RV, was born, raised and resides in the San Fernando Valley. As the oldest of 12 children, Bill learned the importance of these priorities in his life....God, Family, Patriotism, Accepting responsibility for mistakes and Treating people with respect. Bill appreciates the freedoms that our country has afforded us.  He passionately supports the veterans who have sacraficed their lives and health for us to live as we do today.

In 1987 Bill Graduated at the top of his class from a cutting-edge, GM factory-sponsored automotive technology program. He originally specialized in the diagnosis and repair of the then emerging electronic automotive operating systems.  In total, Bill now has 27 years of experience in automotive/ RV repair and collision fields. Bill is an A.S.E. Certified Master Automotive Technician. Besides starting out as a bicycle mechanic at "Bicycle Den" when he was 14, Bill worked for several GM dealerships as a technician, owned a successful Snap-On tool franchise,  owned an automotive equipment distributorship for Hunter engineering, owned and still operates a wholesale and retail auto dealership, and owned and operated Tru-Line Frame and Wheel in Van Nuys, California for 13 years.

Bill's client list at Tru Line included the Los Angeles City and Los Angeles County Fire Departments, the Burbank Fire Department, the Los Angeles Police Department, the North Valley and East Valley YMCA, and various new car dealerships.

Bill utilized his diagnostic background to expand Tru-Line Frame and Wheel into one of the largest and well-regarded repair facilities in the San Fernando Valley. Bill believed that the expansion not only occurred because of Tru-Line's quality workmanship, but also because of Tru-Line's policy of never selling unnecessary repairs or parts.

With the combined effort of Bill and his highly respected partner Stephen Munkres, Tru-Line arbitrated several cases for the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. Bill also provided expert testimony for  insurance companies regarding fraudulent repair practices performed at other auto repair facilities. He also provided expert testimony on high-profile mechanical failure cases for various law firms while operating Tru-Line. Bill still provides his expertise today for various law firms, insurance companies and governmental agencies.

In the mid 1990's, Bill's trouble-shooting background helped him locate a dangerous design flaw in the early model Dodge Viper's rear suspension, which resulted in a factory production revision. Additionally, Bill's motorhome and truck repair experience aided in his design of a stabilizing jack reinforcement system, which Fleetwood Industries adopted and utilized on their Coaches for years.

Bill is an avid RVer himself and enjoys camping with his family more than just about anything. He enjoys desert motorcycle riding, boating, off-roading, snowmobiling and shooting. Prior to the birth of his first child, Bill was into motorcycle drag racing. His varied interests allow Bill to expertly match Bear's customers with the right RV for their lifestyle. Bill also has the unique ability to foresee his customers' changing needs as their activities evolve. Bill's back round often aids in fine tuning the RV matching process.

Unlike most RV dealerships where the owner is never seen, Bill is visible and involved in Bear's daily operations. He tries to have personal contact with every customer who purchases an RV from Bear's RV. Bill also promotes Bear's RV's dedication to the customer  long after their purchase.

Our Mission......

* Establish a solid working relationship and a no pressure sales environment where knowledge is shared and concerns are addressed.

* Promote quality parts and responsible service practices.

* Commit ourselves to our customer's well-being long after the initial purchase.
